2023 Auction
The Glenridge Auction is back - online, and in person!
Good news, canyon friends! We’re keeping the silent auction online, so that no matter where you are in the world, you can take part in this year’s auction.
And this year, the live auction is back for a special edition: in-person and magical at The Fairy Tree Ball.
The Silent Auction
Glenridge’s silent auction runs online from Sunday November 5 to Sunday November 12, 2023. There’s no need for babysitters or Ubers. You can browse from the comfort of your own bathtub. Bid on items all week long from this year's auction catalog.
FAQs
How do people sign up for the online auction?
First, create an account here. Then you can browse our catalog and heart items that you want to keep track of for bidding.
What is in the online auction?
The online auction contains hundreds of items generously donated by businesses and individuals from across the community. From gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses through to sporting events, handcrafted items, art and jewelry - this is the place to shop for gifts and treat yourself while also raising the vital funds that ensure Glenridge continues in the canyon.
How do I bid in the silent auction?
Our online silent auction is set up to enable max bids. With max bids, you specify the maximum amount that you are willing to pay for an item, and the software raises your bid for you as other people place bids. If there is a bid beyond your specified maximum, you will receive an email notification to let you know that you have been outbid so that you can decide if you would like to set a higher max bid.
How do I keep track of my bids?
You can view all of the items you have bid on by clicking on My Bids in the upper-right corner of the catalog page.
How do I pay?
Once the online silent auction has closed, you will be notified by email of the items that you won, and you will receive an invoice. Please use the link included in the email to pay your invoice online with a credit card.
How do people pick up their won items?
Physical gift certificates and items won in the online silent auction and the live auction will all be available for pickup in San Francisco on Wednesday November 13 (3:30 p.m – 6:30 p.m) and Sunday November 18 (10:30 a.m – 1:30 p.m). Location information will be shared with winning bidders.
What about gift certificates?
We will email gift certificates when possible – check the information in the catalog listing to see if the item you are bidding on is a digital certificate that can be emailed, or a physical gift certificate that will need to be picked up.
How do I pick up won items if I’m unable to attend pickup days?
It is important to note that Glenridge will not be delivering or shipping won items. If you are unable to come during one of the pick-up days, please contact a current Glenridge family or another friend and ask them to pick up your items.
Can I just donate directly to the school?
Yes! Thank you for your support. Donate to keep tuition affordable and help cover the costs of running our school. Glenridge Cooperative Nursery School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ID #94-1731144, and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
What is my online handle?
When you sign up to participate in the online auction, you will be asked to choose an online handle. This name will be attached to your bids and be visible to other bidders and the auctioneer. Your online handle can be your name or something more anonymous. If you’d like to bid as a couple, you will need to bid using the same user account. You can put both names in the name field if you like.
How do I change my online handle?
You can change your handle by logging in, selecting your name from the upper right, going to My Account, and scrolling down to find Edit My Information. More questions? Email auction@glenridgecoop.org
The Fairy Tree Ball:
The Live Auction Returns!
The pandemic was heartbreaking. Being a parent through it has brought us together even while it’s kept us apart.
We are so grateful that Glenridge has made it through - it’s a true testament to this amazing community of teachers, friends, alumni, students, and the power of Glenridge’s 50 year legacy of cooperation and mutual support.
Crack out your wings, wands, and fae frocks for the live auction at the Fairy Tree Ball on the evening of November 11 in the Green Room at the San Francisco War Memorial. Think David Bowie in the labyrinth, toddler-power-clash-chic; yep, we’re inviting you to fancy dress! It will be highbrow-est of times, it will be the lowbrow-est of times. Come witness feats of memory and merriness, with friends old and new. A fae power clash for the ages.
We’ll be auctioning off the big auction packages, welcoming back Kerry and his band Porch, as well as Gayle, and the auction will be led once again by our inimitable emcee, alumni parent Adam Zimman. Grab your tickets here, and see the FAQ for more information on ticketing tiers.

Every member of our community who comes to the auction ready to support our school is important, no matter what form that contribution takes. Being a co-op means we count on everyone. And we want to have a live auction that feels welcoming to everyone.
