2020 Auction

Mark your calendars! Our first ever fully online auction!

The good news is that it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, you can take part in this year’s live auction. There’s no need for babysitters or Ubers and it’s up to you whether you get dressed up in sequins or wear sweatpants - or both! But one thing hasn’t changed, our current Glenridge families are working hard to put on a fabulous event for you with entertainment, great prizes and some exciting twists! We’d be thrilled if you could join us to celebrate Glenridge and raise a glass, as well as some much needed funds.



When is the Virtual Live Auction?

Our Virtual Live Auction is on November 14. There will be a preshow from 7.30pm PST and then bidding will start at 8pm PST.


How do people sign up?

What is the preshow? 

Join us at 7:30pm PST for music from our very own Kerry Yates and his band ‘Porch’ and the wonderful Gayle Lynn and Tom Drohan of the Hired Hands who will get us in the mood for an evening of bidding! There will be a chat function below the video, so you can say hi to everyone or ask any questions. 


What are the live auction prizes this year? 

You can find the live auction prizes by looking at the catalog and searching for ‘virtual event items’

How do I bid on the night? 

The video showing the auctioneers presenting and the bidding functions will all be on one page and it will all be self explanatory with buttons clearly marked for you to click and bid. There will also be a chat function and you’ll be able to see information about each item on the same page too. Alumni parent Adam Zimman will be streaming live to tell you all about the live auction prizes on offer and tempt you into raising your virtual paddle. 


What is Fund A Need? Mame will be leading our Fund A Need appeal again this year and we need your help more than ever. Glenridge is operating at a loss this year in order to continue offering affordable programs to our families, and we are appealing to all members of our extended community to give what you can to support our preschool. Donations are vital this year, and go straight to meet our classroom needs during this unique and challenging time.



Do I need to be logged on to win the raffle? 

Raffle tickets sales are now closed. Winners will be announced during our Virtual Live Auction. You don't have to be present to win, but we'd love to see you there.


How do people pick up their gift certificates and items?

Physical gift certificates and items won in the Online Silent Auction and Virtual Live Auction will all be available for pick up in San Francisco on November 15 (12:30pm-2:30pm) and November 18 (5:30pm-7:30pm). Location information will be shared with winning bidders. Please wear a mask and keep social distance at the pick up days. If we are able to email gift certificates, we will do so.

What is my “online handle”?

When you sign-up to participate in the online auction, you will be asked to choose an online handle, which is the name that will be attached to your bids and be visible to other bidders. Your online handle can be your name or you may choose something else to bid more anonymously, however please note that the auctioneer won't be able to thank you in person live during the auction. If you have an existing account, you can change your handle by logging in, selecting your name from the upper right and going to “My Account.” Once you are in the “My Account” screen, scroll down to the bottom to find “Edit My Information” to change any of your information, including your online handle. If you’d like to bid as a couple you will need to bid using the same user account. You can put both names in the name fields if desired.

How do I pick up certificates if I’m not able to attend the pick up days?

We will not be shipping items, please contact a current Glenridge family or another friend and ask them to pick up your items.
